If you are buying this in Europe
A contact-centre platform carries voice recordings, transcripts and workforce data alongside the routing decision. Each of those has its own residency answer, and they are not always the same answer.

What to ask Genesys
- Which region holds recordings and transcripts, and is it the same one that holds routing configuration?
- Are workforce-management and analytics data in that region, or aggregated somewhere central?
- Which subprocessors are engaged for speech and analytics, and under which transfer mechanism?
- Is the DPA published, and does its subprocessor list live on a page that stays current?
We have not answered these for you on purpose — a vendor's residency posture changes without notice, and the only reliable version is the one they put in writing for you.
Where Genesys is still the better fit
If voice, messaging, quality management and workforce engagement belong in one contact-centre platform, Genesys is the more complete purchase. Its predictive routing is real machine-learning routing, not a feature to wave away. Fivexer is the better-shaped option when the work spans products or operational domains and the routing layer must remain independent and inspectable.
